More About Julia
Julia Van de Walle is a partner on the CFIPerennial team leading legal and compliance matters.
Prior to joining CFI Julia was general counsel and chief operations officer for a late-state venture capital firm with peak AUM over $500 million. Before that, Julia was in private practice, most recently at Cooley LLP in San Francisco, where her practice focused on advising venture capital and private equity firms on fund formation and fundraising, fund maintenance, upper-tier structuring and regulatory compliance matters. Julia began her career at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York City working on public and private M&A deals, credit finance transactions, and private equity fund formations.
Julia holds a BA degree in cognitive and linguistic sciences from Brown University and a JD from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and is admitted to practice law in New York and California. In her free time, Julia loves to cook, stay active, and try new restaurants.
