Olga Troyanskaya, PhD, a professor in the department of computer science at Princeton and Deputy Director for Genomics at the Flatiron Institute’s Center for Computational Biology, joins Vijay Pande, founding partner of CFI Bio + Health.
Together, they talked about Olga’s background and how she got involved in genomics, as well as how evolving biotechnologies have improved scientists’ ability to see different views of the cell. They also discussed social determinants of health, and how, in the future, studies of genomics and SDoH might pave the way to treatment options.
Vijay Pande is the founding general partner of the Bio + Health team at Andreessen Horowitz, focused on the cross-section of biology and computer science.
Kris Tatiossian is the content lead, life sciences, on the Bio + Health team.
